About Us A little about us and our family!
Don Scott (Chef, Line Cook, Consultant, Food Writer) Born in Bangor Maine not far from where his grandfather and namesake sold some of the first Italian Sub Sandwiches on the same docks as Giavano Amatto himself. Chef Don Scott started his culinary adventure picking strawberries at age 10 at the Apple Crest Farm Orchards. His first job in the kitchen would come four years later in the dish pit at the NCO Club of the military base his step father was stationed at. Studying under some of the worlds best cooks and chefs to develop fundamental techniques then applying what he learned to bring his own classic Southern and Creole recipes to the next level. Chef Scott has since worked all over the United States, from simple burger joints, coastal steak houses and breakfast joints, to the restaurants of some of the top chefs in the nation. Chef Scott is now a restaurant consultant, food writer and cookbook author. He cooks now only for private clients and special events.
