Cheddar Bay Biscuits
These biscuits began as a protest against a chain restaurant that I once loved. But like all other popular chains once it was made public and bought by a larger corporation it lost its original charm. Later these biscuits would reemerge as one of the most popular sides to serve with seafood and sometimes on Fried Chicken Night to mix things up a bit.

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ Cup Bisquick (or similar) 4 Tblsp. Cold Butter, cut into cubes 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese ¾ Cup Milk ¼ tsp Garlic Powder Garlic Butter, melted (for basting) Dried Parsley, for garnish
Cheddar Bay Biscuits A Food Memory from the Seafood Favorite !
Preheat Oven to 400* In a large bowl cut the cold butter into the Bisquick using either your fingers or the back of a spoon. The mixture should appear crumbly and there should be pieces of butter floating around in the mix. Form a well in the center of the mix and add the milk, cheese and garlic powder. Mix lightly to combine, don’t over mix. Onto a parchment lined sheet pan drop ¼ cup sized biscuits. Bake for 15-17 minutes.’ When the biscuits are done remove them from the oven an immediately brush them with the garlic butter. Sprinkle a little parsley over the top and serve warm.
